Think Pink Racing was started in 1996. The team build & race drag bikes, instantly recognisable by their pink livery. Drag racing is an acceleration competition between two vehicles over a measured quarter mile from a standing start and is the fastest motorsport on earth with speeds in excess of 300mph being achieved in less than 5 seconds in some classes.
Sandra, a Cambridge graduate who works as a lecturer in research methods in Cambridge, had never ridden a motorcycle prior to 1996. She started drag racing on a Suzuki GSX 1100 streetbike and having enjoyed a number of successes, moved on to competition bike. She has regularly taken part in National and International competitions since 1996, usually as the sole female competitor (there are no separate events for males and females in drag racing).
Currently she races her 1327cc nitrous oxide injected BUFF Kukuxumusu machine in 8.50 & Competition bike in the UK National Championships.
The team are currently testing & developing two new BUFF - SUEME bikes.
